Absolutely! We have facilitators that can train you and/or your team on how to effectively and efficiently facilitate board meetings, departmental meetings, staff retreats webinars, teleconferences.
With the prevalence of webinars, teleconferences, and short videos, executives are discovering that they are required to know how to present in person as well as on camera.  Our experienced on-camera ARTiculate Team will coach you on the pointers that you need to know to make the most of the visual medium. You will be empowered to step boldly and confidently in front of the camera and make the most of it.
  • Trained professional performers (singers, actors, dancers, etc.) have exercises and techniques designed to train them to remain in the moment — to be present.
  • Performers with teaching, coaching, and directing experience also have a highly developed sense of when things appear fake and what might be causing it.
  • They are comfortable with diving into what makes people tick — without going into therapy.
  • To master the art of public speaking, reach out to professionals who have spent their lives delivering an effective message.

A deep dive is a small group that uses simulation to provide participants with an opportunity to test out new and different communication techniques. Each person chooses a situation that they would like to work on. This situation can be a past encounter that they’d like to rework, a reoccurring situation such as a team meeting, or a future event that they would like to practice. Participants provide the group with specific details about the situation they are working on and then each person has a turn to work through their scenario. During this simulation, the participant receives side coaching, stop/start, in-the-moment feedback from the coach, which allows them to try on new communication techniques. Deep dives provide a supportive environment to experiment and receive individual feedback from an expert communication coach.
A master class, taken from the performance world, is an opportunity to learn by active observation. It’s a format used in the world of music when a coach works with a student, openly and transparently, in front of the class. The format of the master class allows us to learn, sometimes even more, by watching someone being coached rather than being coached ourselves. We are often under the misconception that we only learn when the feedback is given directly to or about us. We also learn by observing what the coach notices and how he or she guides and directs the others. Watching the coach provides an opportunity to see and understand things that we, as participants, may be unaware of in ourselves. Overall, the master class is an environment for learning from:
  1. Watching someone else being coached
  2. Observing what the coach notices
  3. Receiving direct feedback from a coach

Yes. We have trained voice and speech professionals who are highly skilled in assessing where you are now and guiding you to your desired acquisition.  Sometimes called accent modification or reduction, we find that it is more effective to learn a new dialect or accent than to change who you are. Accent acquisition is about developing additional accents for communication to be used when needed and not about taking things away.

Yes, we have a certified coach that can guide your leadership development, as well as coach your communication.
We maintain the training with all group trainings so that the learning is enforced after the sessions. We also follow up with participants to ask how their training is shifting their communication; how is it working? Are their meetings more effective and more efficient? Self-awareness and observation is prominent in the learning loop.

The Importance of Being Human in a Digital World

Think about all the ways we are out in the world, and all the stories that are continuously being told about each of us. We generate data just by moving through our daily lives. We create–and curate–our personal brands through social media. As our personal data threatens to eclipse our personal stories, giving a strong voice to who we are is more important than ever. And, as machines learn to do more for us, human connection remains our unique space and a primal need. How do we claim our stories and use them to build authentic relationships? We can start by paying attention to the messages we send both literally and figuratively. Once we figure out who we are, then the real connections can begin.

Stop being so nice

We’ve been taught to be polite and nice, but those priorities can get in the way of connecting and building trust. We need to honor people, not placate them. Great leaders master kindness, empathy and authenticity while delivering tough messages. We become more successful when we understand that authenticity leads to trust and trust leads to influence. In our world of heightened sensitivities, we might be conflicted between saying what we mean and what we think our audience can handle. Counterintuitive actions, while uncomfortable, will generate high performing teams and create a more inclusive and intentional culture.

Awkward Conversations Suck. You Don’t Have To.

Counseling an underperforming employee. Calling a customer to tell them you have made a mistake. Helping people work through conflict. Does the mere thought of these types of discussions make your chest tighten? You’re not alone. But you could enter an elite group of people, those who own the awkward and manage to bring their full voice and best selves to even the hardest of conversations. If working with people were easy, we wouldn’t be so busy pursuing AI and automation! As long as we need to deal with messy, we may as well have some tools to make it through.

Women: Claim Your Powerful Voice.

There’s no doubt that female leaders face unique challenges as they seek to advance their careers. Communication style is judged as either too harsh or too soft. Even voices are criticized and can hold women back as they move up the ladder or forward in their career. These unique challenges need to be discussed in a supportive and honest environment. This interactive keynote provides tools that will reframe confidence and executive presence–empowering women immediately to deliver clear, efficient, and powerful leadership communication.

Executive Presence: Are You Showing Up the Way You Want To?

We’ve all seen them–the executives who dominate the conversation, oblivious to the fact that everyone around them has tuned out. Or the ones who are super smart but unable to make eye contact as they share their brilliance. Being an executive is more than about what you know, it’s about inspiring confidence and earning trust. Understanding how we come across to others–for better or worse–opens up space for growth in our ability to connect and lead. Because leadership without connection won’t take you very far.
