Communication Tip: Adjusting to Connect

Adjusting our communication to connect more effectively and empathetically:

Is that manipulation in the negative sense that leads to an inauthentic connection? Fake? Or, is it intentionally overriding the habitual responses that keep us “safer” to connect with a vulnerable heart-centeredness? To be authentic and open. It can be uncomfortable and unfamiliar at first yet leads to more straightforward communication. And it takes practice.

Wow- Wednesday’s LEADERSHIP USA, INC. USA “Increasing Leadership Presence and Influence through Heart-Based Communication” – a program with many ah ha’s and insights for me – and I was leading it! The best kind of learning is when we’re all in it together, exploring with openness and curiosity.

Already heard from one participant: “I am now confident and prepared to have this conversation in real life, where before I was dreading it and unsure how to change my approach. I already found our passing communication more light-hearted and honest this afternoon!”

Inspired by the work we get to do – opening hearts and conversations.
