The Handshake

I have been noticing all the different types of handshakes. Over the past few weeks, when someone has taken my hand for a greeting, they have only partially shaken my hand.

Mostly, they have shaken my fingers.  This is known as the Finger-Tip Grab. This type of handshake can be interpreted as lacking confidence.  Next time someone else shakes your hand or you shake a hand, pay attention to the type of handshake that is being given. Try to shake “web to web.” Practice your handshake with friends so that you are communicating a positive connection every time you are greeting someone.  It will be noticed!
