Communication Tip: Ask for Guidance, Support, and Insight

It can totally make your day!

When you’re on a team, your teammates depend on you to seek expert help.

What?

Yes, to seek out help from outside the team. Part of being on a team is extending the limited reach we may have as an individual. Knowing our limitations and blindspots is essential, so we look outside ourselves to our network.

I’ve heard more than a few times that people feel they should have the info their team needs. They think that is their role and job.
On a team, finding the best info, whether from yourself, from research, or from your extended network, keeps us growing and expanding our knowledge.

Today, we asked for guidance and support from an expert. The depth of her knowledge and the highly skilled way she shared her information and insights was brilliant. Thank you, Mercedes E. Martin, for your deep wisdom and experiences shared with grace and generosity. My mind and heart are blown!

There are shining bright lights of brilliance around us.
We have so much to learn – especially veteran teacher/trainer/coaches like me!

Tap into your community. Build connections. Your work, your clients, and the world will benefit.
